The National Council of State meeting held on Tuesday at the state house, with President Muhammadu Buhari presiding over it.
In attendance were former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, Senate President Bukola Saraki, former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar,Ernest Shonekan.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, governors and ministers.
However, one of the highlights of the event was a headshake shared by president Buhari and former President Obasanjo, at the beginning of the meeting – which has sparked a debate on social media.
This is because Obasanjo, in an open letter on Sunday, totally condemned Buhari’s government , adding that he has plans to rig the forthcoming elections – Hence, the reason why the handshake has stirred controversies.

Obasanjo has shown once again that he is an elder statesman that has the interest of the country at heart. This he did by attending the National Council of State meeting. I know a lot of people expected them to throw blow but big men don't fight, they leave the fights for you. pic.twitter.com/XOYLdI5aH0
