Senator Ben Murray Bruce has dragged the federal government for the trader money scheme which gives out ten thousand Naira token to un-employed youth and traders to start a business.
Bruce who is a serving senator representing Bayelsa East constituency, Bayelsa state, pointed out that former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, introduced a YOUWIN scheme and gave 4200 Nigerian youths a whopping $50,000 to start a business. He however went forward by chiding the present administration for not retaining the scheme.
The Senator who is not seeking re-election to the upper chamber of the nation’s legislative arm in the forth coming election made this known via his twitter handle early this morning.
What he said:
Former President @GEJonathan introduced YouWIN and gave 4200 Nigerian youths an average of $50,000 each to go and start a business. The more I think about it, I wonder what sort of business Vice President @ProfOsinbajo expects Nigerian youths and traders to start with ₦ 10k!

What @ProfOsinbajo must understand is that it‘s best to teach a man how to fish than to give him fish. You hive him ₦10,000 tradermoni and you feed him for max one week. But if this government had retained YouWIN and PRIORITISED it, they would have thought our youths how to fish
