Just In: Twitter goes wild, as Asiwaju takes his own life -Newslanded

 

Michael Asiwaju, owner of Asiwaju Royal Furniture in Ojo, Lagos, has taken his own life, after being accused of rape on social media, recently.

Asiwaju, aka Mike Cash, according to city Round died at a hotel in Lagos, after ingesting a poisonous substance suspected to be Sniper and was met lifeless in his hotel room around 12am on January 13, 2019.

Before his death, he had posted via his Twitter handle at 7.35pm on Saturday, January 12, of his plan to take his own life.

Goodbye I’ll die soon. (I) am gone,” he tweeted.

Asiwaju was accused by a Twitter user, @thatgoddess of being informed by a made, that Asiwaju had rapped her, in his car, something in 2017.

Asiwaju, had denied the accusation, saying it was consensual sex – However, Twitter trolls weren’t kind to him, as they dragged him mercilessly on the platform.

Twitter users on learning of his death (which they thought was a joke, when he made his last tweet), are expressing their opinions about the situation.

Asiwaju is dead. At least according to Punch newspapers.
I personally thought it was another publicity stunt.

But before we all go into faux sympathy and fake caring mode, let’s remember we were the same people who asked him to drop his iPhone charger and kill himself after.

I know a lot of people here are actually happy that Asiwaju guy killed himself. They don't know him, they don't know full details of the rape allegation.
