A High Court sitting in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja has granted bail to Senator Dino Melaye, who is being held by police in their health facility.
Justice Halilu, while ruling on an application by Melaye, via his counsel. Mike Ozekhome(SAN), granted him bail to enable him seek proper treatment.
According to the presiding judge, Melaye cannot be arraigned on the stretcher or ‎on his hospital bed, and on that note, granted him bail to get proper treatment.
The lawmaker as conditions for his bail, was asked to produce three sureties, one of who must be the Clerk of the National Assembly, and must undertake to produce him when he is to be arraigned to answer for the charges against him.
The other two sureties must be owners of properties within the Abuja metropolis, the judge said.
