Just In: 2018, was a year with a lot of dark nights – Donald Duke -Newslanded

Former governor of Cross Rivers state, Donald Duke in his new year message said the past year was full of dark nights.

According to the presidential candidate, 2018 was a year full of “poverty, gross inequality and injustice with lost lives, the dearth of education and decay of our healthcare.”

He said 2019 is a fresh page in the history of the country. 2019 gives us a fresh chapter in the storybook of our nation. Speaking via his Twitter page on Wednesday, he said that pages of the new year, he hopes it will be one of hope, of peace, of prosperity, of growth of our nation.

He wrote:

2018, was a year with a lot of dark nights: poverty, gross inequality and injustice with lost lives, the dearth of education and decay of our healthcare . Though we survived the Year, but with the fear of what the future holds for us…for our children.

The pages upon which we will write the story that unfolds are blank; will it be one of hope, of peace, of prosperity, of growth of our nation, of NIGERIA emerging from being less than it is, to it being much more ?

That story will be written by us as a nation in the weeks and months to come.

I wish us all a happy new year and fulfilled 2019.
