The Delivery Boy, a feature-length film produced by Adekunle “Nodash” Adejuyigbe, has won the best Nigerian Film award at The African International Film Festival.

Since its release in 2018, The Delivery Boy, has been screened at film festivals like African Film Festival, New York; Nollywood Week Paris; Real Time International Film festival among other film festivals.

The multiple award-winning film centres on Amir, a runaway teenage suicide bomber and his newfound ally, a young prostitute. The two young characters mirrored the hidden back side of the African society and its dangerous culture of silence in the presence of evil.

The special effects used in certain parts of the film is also one of the major highlights of the movie, proving once more that indigenous filmmakers don’t need Hollywood budgets to achieve Hollywood results.

The plot and twists of the movie have also been applauded by filmmaking experts who have testified that the award winning film is one of the best written scripts ever to hit Nigerian screens.

The producer, Adejuyigbe who started off as a marketer in the filmmaking industry has played a pivotal role in the development of Nigeria’s movie industry in recent years.

In 2015, Adejuyigbe was shortlisted as one of the 21 emerging cinematographers from all over the world by the Berlin film festival.
