With their engagement early in November and a classy white wedding ceremony, which held same week, Tinsel actress, Linda Ejiofor (who plays Bimpe in the long running series) finally married her fellow Tinsel actor, Ibrahim Suleiman.
Obviously, Linda and Ibrahim sealed their love story on the set of Tinsel, late November of 2016. Their love story began sometimes in June 2016 when Linda talked Ibrahim not to take the decision to relocate after he lost his mum and wanted to move back to Abuja so he could be closer to his siblings. He got a job as an architect in Lagos and the bonding exercise began. Well somewhere in their story, Linda hinted that she got her close friends including Adesua Utomi-Wellington to talk Ibrahim into accepting to audition for a role on Africa Magic’s Tinsel. Ibrahim, whom as Linda revealed ‘never acted in his life’, was auditioned for the role of Damini White and he grabbed the role at just that first try.
So with Ibrahim now a part of Tinsel, the stage was set for a build up to a friendship that grew stronger and stronger each passing day and week that they had to meet on the set of Tinsel. One thing as they say, to lead to another and Ibrahim could not but pop the question early this year and of course he got a loud ‘Yes’ from the inimitable actress of quality credits who is best known for living believably the role of Ejura in the award winning movie by TASC titled ‘The Meeting’.
It did not take long after Linda said ‘yes’ that pre-wedding pictures of the couple starting trending on social media. Ibrahim gave a confirmation that their decision was real when he took to his instagram page to drop the following message: “For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, saith the Lord. Thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Look at me. I am proof’’. The post went viral seconds after he hit the send button and it was all that the admirers of the delectable actress needed to know that
Linda whom they may have been stalking was now well taken and it was going to be forever.
Star of critically acclaimed productions like Secret Room, Out of Luck, and Ojukokoro, Ihuoma (Linda’s middle name) was born and raised in Lagos. The second of five children, the Isuikwuato, Abia state native had her early school at Federal Government Girls College, Onitsha. A sociology graduate of the University of Port Harcourt, Linda’s other screen credits include A Soldiers Story, Surulere and Heavens Hell. Nominated as best actress in a supporting role and TV actress of the year by the organizers of the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) and the ELOY awards, Linda won the best supporting actress award at the 2015 edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Award.
With their decision to bring their on-screen love to reality, Linda and Ibrahim have their names firmly written on the now growing list of entertainers who found love in the industry where they are both players. They would indeed be the fourth couple from the Tinsel series to actually get married after playing love interests in the series. The others are Gbenro and Osa Ajibade who met on the set of the television series ‘Tinsel’ and got married in New York in 2015, Chris and Damilola Attoh who also met and fell in love on the set of the television series ‘Tinsel’ and got married in 2013 and Iyke and Florence Okechukwu who met on the set of Tinsel and got married in 2014.
