Nollywood actress, Belinda Effah, has joined the league of Nigerian actresses who have gone on to produce their own films, as she is set to release Miracle, a faith-based movie, as producer.
Belinda hinted that the movie is about the travails of a young Christian girl, Miracle, as she tries to navigate the vagaries of life on campus.
The movie, directed by Pascal Amanfo and produced by Belinda herself, is currently being shot, stars other well-known names, such as Beverly Naya, Shawn Faqua, Eniola Badmus, Biola Segun-Williams, Emeka Rollas, Nicole Ndigwe, MC Abbey, Beverly Oh, Uche Chidulo and Musa Ibro.
At a press conference held at the of Morning Side Suites, Belinda said she was motivated to produce the movie because she wants the film to be one of self-actualisation and empowerment, saying it took her five years for it to come to fruition from idea stage to what we have now.
“We are also partnering with the Project Alert, a non-governmental organisation to empower and give back proceeds to charity.”The movie is due to be released in the new year.
