The presidential candidate of United Democratic Party (UDP) Mr. Ishola Balogun, has called for less emphasis on money politics to enable the best hands/brains come forward and participate actively in nation-building.

The 59-year-old Molecular Biology expert and television programme host, who owns and runs Amen Radio/Television in the United States (US), listed job creation, youth/women empowerment, security and unity as his main priorities, if elected.

Balogun, who emerged the party’s flag bearer, lamented the state of affairs in the country, blaming past and present leaders for running the nation aground.

He said the present system of government in Nigeria has no clear definition, but an admix of confusion, orchestrated by a host of confused, mostly illiterate persons, who lacked the zeal, love and tenacity to lead themselves or families, let alone a country like Nigeria.
