When the government announced that it had decided to revive the glory days of the Nigerian Airways by venturing into the aviation industry with its national carrier, Nigeria Air, Nigerians were excited because it showed government's dedication towards becoming a force in the industry.
With pomp and funfare, they unveiled the logo of the carrier, an eagle coated in the Nigerian colour.
However, on the 19th of September, the Minister for State Aviation Siriki announced that the government has suspended the air carrier indefinitely.
Nigerians have since been reacting to this new development:
The Nigerian Air national carrier would have a good political point for the Buhari led confused government, now it has suspended it “indefinitely”. Meaning the so-called planning it says would be put in place has no finish date or end. What a confused regime we live in.

Whether you are APC or PDP, the failure of Nigerian Air, our proposed national carrier is a loss for us all. If you don't pay for it, your children will. We need to stop this blame game.
